Dr. Olorunwa Khaerullah Tijani has 20 years of working experience, enjoying a mix of international experience, underpinned by an impressive academic background. Created environmental audits and environmental impact assessments; advising clients, government agencies, regulators, and other relevant bodies in relation to sustainable strategies and solutions. He communicates scientific and technical information to relevant audiences via reports, workshops, educational events, and public hearings.
Dr. Olorunwa K. Tijani, a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management United Kingdom, the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, and the Polymer Institute of Nigeria, with an academic career that lasted for a decade, is an expert in the area of waste minimization technologies and solid waste management.
Dr. Tijani holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Chemical & Polymer Engineering, a Master’s of Science (M.Sc) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Engineering from the Newcastle University, UK.
Before his appointment as the Chief Technical Officer/Executive Assistant (CTO/EA) of LAWMA, Dr. Olorunwa K. Tijani has served at various departments and agencies under the Ministry of Environment & Water Resources. These include the Head, Planning Research and Statistics Dept. (PRS) LAWMA, Head of Operations, Public Utilities Monitoring and Assurance Unit (PUMAU), Head of Unit, Waste Monitoring and Intelligence Unit (WMI). He has also served on many technical committees to address issues around solid waste management in Lagos state.
Dr. Olorunwa Tijani is married with 3 children.
