Segun Adeniji has a B. A (Hons.) in History from University of Lagos (1984) and M.Sc. in Public Administration from Lagos State University (1995). He started his career as an Administrative Officer II in Lagos Waste Management Authority and rose to the post of Assistant Chief Administrative Officer (Personnel Manager) before his deployment to the mainstream, Lagos State Civil Service in 1999. He was the Deputy Director, Finance and Administration in the Ministry of Rural Development from October 2011 to November 2013; and Assistant Director (A&HR) in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development from November 2013 to September 2015. He has attended several management courses, workshop and seminars. In the course of his career he received several awards which includes; LASG Year 2013 Best Officer Award-Ministry of Rural Development (Senior Category); His Excellency’s Certificate of Appreciation for Support & Selfless Service towards the successful hosting of the 18th National Sports Festival tagged “Eko 2012 Games” etc.
