Evolution
• The new Commercial Department commenced services on September 1, 2005.
• It inherited less than Twenty Industrial Commercial Premises
• Its current total number of clients is over 1300
• It revived the Private Sector Participants (PSP) programme in industrial commercial waste collection
• Its total number of registered and functional Private Sector Participants (PSP) is increasing progressively

• Institutionalisation of Public-Private Partnership in Industrial-Commercial solid waste management
• Employment generation for adult & youths in the area of Industrial - Commercial Waste Collection
• Facilitation of capacity building for operators in the area of equipment procurement
