The Management and Staff of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) recently held this year’s End of the Year Thanksgiving/Christmas Carol to appreciate God for His immense goodness on the agency in the year 2017.
In his welcome address, the General Manager of LAWMA, Mr. Segun Adeniji stated the need for people to imbibe the habit of thanksgiving to God for His preservation throughout the year, irrespective of negative reports making rounds in society.
The LAWMA boss enjoined the attendees to always appreciate the Almighty for the gift of life and subsequently led the congregation in singing songs of praise to God for His protection and blessings over workers of the Authority in 2017.
In his sermon, Pastor Adedayo Adepetun of the RCCG Lagos Province 53, Aguda-Surulere, who spoke on the theme of the program, ‘Flourishing In Famine’, charged the congregation to put their trust in the Lord who is able to cause them to flourish even during difficult times.
Pastor Adepetun also admonished the people to have the fear of God in all of their endeavours, which he said attracts great blessings. He prayed that the Lord would continue to bless LAWMA Management and Staff as the New Year approaches.
The 1st Bible reading of the day was taken by the General Manager of LAWMA, Mr. Segun Adeniji; while the 2nd Bible reading was taken by the Assistant General Manager, Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Adenike Shobowale.
